Since we are now in the fifth month of the year, it can only mean one thing. CoD Mobile’s fifth season update is almost here.
Keeping the momentum going with all the new content in the form of maps, weapons, modes, and lots of cosmetics, Season 5 is sure to be another exciting phase for CoD Mobile.

CoD Mobile Season 4 is starting to wind down as the next major update comes into focus.
CoD Mobile Season 5 2022: Release Date
While an exact release date for CoD Mobile Season 5 has yet to be confirmed, we can make an educated guess based on past trends, along with the current Battle Pass end date.
CoD Mobile Season 4 Battle Pass will expire on Thursday, June 2. As always, the new seasons start right after, so it’s a safe bet for the Season 5 release date.
However, it’s worth keeping in mind that unexpected delays can always put a stop to these plans. So we will make sure to keep you posted here as the official CoD Mobile Season 5 release date is locked.
CoD Mobile Season 5 2022: new weapons
While no new additions to the CoD Mobile arsenal have been announced yet, the latest test server may have given us an early taste of what to expect.
Upon its release on May 10, the new test version came with three new weapons that are not yet available in CoD Mobile. The Oden assault rifle, KSP45 SMG and LCAR9 pistol all features in the limited trial period.

As always, there is no guarantee that each and every weapon will make it to the live build of CoD Mobile. Furthermore, it is never a certainty that Test Server content will arrive in the next seasonal patch.
But with that said, it’s safe to expect at least one of these weapons to be included in CoD Mobile Season 5. If we were to hedge our bets, the Oden assault rifle seems like the most likely candidate.
With more Modern Warfare 2019 weapons in CoD Mobile than almost any other title, Oden would certainly help round out the list.
CoD Mobile Season 5 2022: Jackal Fighter Plane
Reportedly set to arrive in season 5 is the jackal fighter planeaccording to a number of CoD Mobile Featured Leakers. However, it is not clear exactly how this vehicle can work.
The Jackal Jet was a key part of 2016’s Infinite Warfare.
We could see the futuristic jet from Infinite Warfare serve as a killstreak in CoD Mobile Season 5. Or it may even be part of an as-yet-unrevealed game mode down the road in an upcoming update.

A key Perk change seems to be almost finalized in the latest test version of CoD Mobile like Persistence has been adjusted..

Instead of doubling the cost of streaks, streaks now appear to be divided into three tiers. Players using the Perk can choose three streaks at low, medium, and high ranks with fixed costs for each.
Again, there is no guarantee that this change will make it to the live server. But since this particular change is a full feature, it would be a surprise not to see it as part of the CoD Mobile Season 5 patch notes.
CoD Mobile Season 5 2022: New Tactical Grenade
Also included in the latest trial version of CoD Mobile is a new piece of tactical gear, the echo grenade. This new tool can be discarded to “detect enemy locations”, as the official description says.
In essence, opposing players marked by the grenade will stand out for a short period. Regardless of where they are or how many walls are between them, you will still be able to see them for a brief moment thanks to this grenade.
