Hakan Calhanoglu scored one of the most satisfying penalties you’ll see all season during Inter de Milanhistoric Coppa Italia victory against juventus – and it really is a beautiful thing.
Ivan Perisic’s three-minute extra-time brace helped Simone Inzaghi’s side lift the trophy for the first time since 2011.
But it was this ‘perfect’ penalty shot from Calhanoglu that will be most remembered when it comes to goals scored in Wednesday’s final. This is the definition of top-bins. Make sure to look at the other angles.
“Can you take a better penalty? No, you can’t!” :talking_head:️

This is how social networks reacted to the penalty.
One fan on Twitter said: “That Calhanoglu penalty is by quite a distance the best I’ve ever seen”, while another commented: “Calhanoglu you bloody devil. That penalty was too good, my heart skipped a beat.”
A third wrote: “Calhanoglu played that penalty emphatically. Not even two goalkeepers would have stopped it. What a take. Vintage.”

It was a dramatic night at the Stadio Olimpico and Juve did not get off to the best of starts when Nicolo Barella scored with just six minutes left. In fact, Barella’s goal was the fastest Coppa Italia final goal since 2015.
Inter went into the break with a 1-0 lead, but Massimiliano Allegri clearly said something in the locker room to cheer on the Turin team.
Full-back Alex Sandro equalized in the 50th minute before Dusan Vlahovic scored his 33rd goal of the season in all competitions to give them the lead.
Oh my word, Juventus scored twice in two minutes to turn the game around! :fire Fire:

It looked like Juventus would go on and win the match, but that incredible Calhanoglu penalty made it 2-2 before two goals from Perisic sealed a big victory for Inter, who currently sit two points behind leaders AC Milan in the Serie A.

Inter manager Simone Inzaghi was delighted with the win. “I am extremely pleased to share this trophy with my coaching staff, who help me every day to prepare for three games a week,” he said in his post-match interview.
“We played a Champions League round of 16 tie against Liverpool, we are the only team to beat them in 2022.
“We lost some points to get the best out of those games, but I don’t regret it.”
Simone Inzaghi is only the SECOND manager to win the Coppa Italia for BOTH Lazio and Inter after Roberto Mancini.
