Silver Scarab Item Boosting Talisman Location

Many of the items, weapons and armor in elden ring can be found through general exploration or obtained from bosses or questlines. But there are quite a few items hidden among enemies that drop at ridiculously low rates, meaning players can complete an entire game without seeing certain weapons or armor. A good example of this is the Longhaft Axe, a weapon that is only dropped by Misbegotten who wields an ax at an extremely low drop rate of two percent.

Fortunately, there is a way for players to increase their chances of taking certain drops and bring those obnoxiously low drop rates down to something more manageable. The discovery stat directly correlates to how “lucky” players can be when collecting drops and there are ways players can increase this stat. Players who increase their levels in Arcane will naturally increase their Discovery stat, but those not specified on the stat line can increase their Discovery in other ways. A particularly good method is to use the Silver Scarab Talisman, which will boost Discovery quite a bit. This is how players can find the Silver Scarab Talisman in elden ring.

How to find the silver scarab talisman in the Elden Ring

The Silver Scarab isn’t particularly difficult to find if players know where to look, but it’s easily one of the most frustrating hidden items in the entirety of Lands Between. That’s because the Silver Scarab talisman is found through an invisible path, in an area most players would never think to look at. Only those who have accidentally stumbled upon this path, or are masters of Souls-based exploration, will find the Silver Scarab unassisted.

To locate the talisman, players will first need to gain access to a secret hidden area that is accessed by offering a secret medallion to Rold’s Great Elevator. Haligtree’s Secret Medallion can be obtained by finding and matching its two halves, which are hidden in the Lands Between. One is easy enough to get to, in Liurnia of the Lakes, but the other requires players to travel all the way to the Giant Mountains and take on one of the toughest bosses in the game. Those struggling to find and assemble Haligtree’s secret locket can follow this handy guide.

Once the players have access to the Haligtree’s Secret Medallion, they must travel to Rold’s Great Elevator and switch to the locket via the button indicator before lifting it. Once this is done, players will find themselves in a new area that looks like some sort of crypt. By traversing the path ahead, up the grand stairs, and through a tunnel, players can find the Hidden Path to Haligtree’s Site of Grace. Players are advised to rush to this Site of Grace as there are some pretty annoying and powerful enemies in the area. Once there, players must go down the stairs and enter the large chamber where the giant land octopus falls from the ceiling.

Walking past this creature, down the stairs to the round platform below, players will see that a section of the stone railing on the right side is missing. Simply by walking on the ledge made by this opening, they will fall to an invisible path below. Straight ahead there will be an arch that players can run to, with a protruding hallway to the right and a Ghost Glovewort. Behind Ghost Glovewort is an invisible wall, which players must hit to open a hidden path with a chest waiting at the end. The Silver Scarab Talisman is inside this chest..

What does the silver scarab talisman do?

The Silver Scarab Talisman is a very straightforward accessory that will simply increase a player’s Discovery stat by 75. This is a huge boost, and players can simply equip this item when trying to farm a particular weapon or armor piece. It will also stack with other items that boost Discovery, like things that boost arcana and the Silver Pickled Bird’s Leg. Using just the Silver Scarab Talisman is enough of a boost to increase the player’s chances of finding a given item by a considerable amount.
