Tuesday May 17 Solution Guide

Welcome back Wordlers! It’s Tuesday and it’s a gorgeous day, and even though summer doesn’t officially start until June 21, it looks like it does.

The great thing about Wordle is that it’s a fast and clean game with only one response a day. You don’t get stuck on your phone for too long, and then go about your day, hoping to get out in nature and enjoy this amazing weather. (Well, I hope you’re having amazing weather too anyway…).

Today’s Wordle is #332, which is kind of crazy when you think about it. There are a total of 2,309 Wordle responses, which means we’re just shy of 15% of the total Wordles out there. The game has only been running since October 2021 and there are more six years of Wordle answers to pass. I imagine myself writing guide 2309. . . at my 40 years!

Okay, that’s a dark path I don’t want to go down right now. The birds sing outside. The sun is shining. We do not need to think about aging and the passage of time. Instead, let’s go to today’s Wordle.

Today’s Word #332 Clue and Answer

As always, spoilers ahead. I wouldn’t want to be spoiled by reading a Wordle answer guide!

First, the hint:

The act of simply existing.

And the answer is . . . .

So my initial guess was pretty good, but it just didn’t stick with the landing. According to Word Bot, leaf normally you’ll narrow down the possible solutions to just 89, but today you fell short at 178. Ouch! Crane, Obviously, it would have been better.

Wordle Bot didn’t like my next guess. Apparently I should have gone with Dinner instead of goodbye though I’ve narrowed down the possible solutions from 178 to just 7 here. I don’t see how Dinner I would have done better, but I guess most of the time I would.

Departures It wasn’t a great choice, and Wordle Bot definitely hit me for this one. Reign It would have been better, and I agree, although I didn’t think of reign At the time! If he had, sure, he would have given me almost all the letters I needed and made the correct answer obvious. My guess narrowed down the possible answers to just 5, but that’s still too many.

Fortunately, my next guess was correct: a “lucky guess,” as Wordle Bot is quick to remind me. Other possible answers for this conjecture included: pretend, neigh, reign, Y weigh. I guess I was lucky!

The word be it’s kind of interesting. It can refer to a noun, a being, maybe a being from another planet, or it can be used as a verb. The act of just be it’s pretty zen when you think about it. But you could also say, “You’re being mean and I don’t like it, please stop.” That’s a little less peaceful, but certainly useful when we need to communicate. It’s softer to say you are bad either you are a bad person. the softer be implies that it is a temporary condition; you are be bad instead of you are to mean.

In any case, have a great Tuesday, Wordlers! Be excellent to each other.
